Mount Waumbek's Wooded Summit
Mount Waumbek is one of the northern most 4,000 footers in New Hampshire. The summit is wooded an provides no views although some views can be had of the Northern Presidentials as you hike over Mount Starr King on the way to Waumbek. There is only one trail the leads to the summit, the Starr King Trail (3.6 miles, elevation gain of 2,500 feet) it has easy to moderate grades with good footing and is an excellent hike for beginners.
