Dogs on the Osceola's

Date of Hike: 8/2/13

Greeley Ponds / Mount Osceola Trail: 7.6 miles (3,300 feet elevation gain)

Trip Report:
- Friday was dog day on Mount Osceola.  Bob, Tim, and myself were joined by Moose, Tuck, and Dusty, on our hike from the Kanc along the Greeley Ponds Trail and the Mount Osceola Trail.
- It had been years since I hiked Osceola from the Kanc without snow on it so it was cool to see what the trail looked like without the snow.  It was just as steep and rugged as I remembered it but none of us, including the dogs had any issues heading up to the east peak of Osceola.
- Moose and Tuck just put their noses down and hiked at a steady pace, and Dusty hikes on a leash and quietly makes his way up the mountain.
- The highlight of the hike was the Chimney located in the col between east peak and main peak.  On the ascent Bob handed the dogs above to Tim and they all made it up the Chimney with no major issues.  On the descent, we all took the bypass.
